Didriksons - Coverall 2 for kids - Hailey - Radiant Purple

The Hailey by Didriksons is a padded, windproof and waterproof coverall with taped seams. Made from a soft and supple polyamide and with a regular fit. The legs are pre-shaped at the knees for greater ease of movement. Didriksons in large print and reflective logo on the sleeve. This coverall has one leg pocket with a velcro fastener. The hood is detachable with snap fasteners. The coverall has a zip covered by a protective storm flap at the centre front. Reflective details at the cuffs and ankles, the piping and on the back. Includes snow gaiters and replaceable silicone foot straps. Elasticated cuffs and ankles and an adjustable waist. The sleeves and legs can be extended by up to one size with the “Extend size” function by detaching the specified inside seams. Hailey is padded with recycled polyester fibre that provides effective insulation. The lining has been dyed using a solution dyeing technique. This technique reduces water, energy and chemical consumption during production. PFC-free water-repellent finish. Name tag with space for several names inside.

Didriksons started in 1913 in Grundsund, Sweden. The Didriksons company started making waterproof jackets for fishermen that would protect them from the cold, wet and rough conditions on Swedish waters. At the time, more fishermen died from hypothermia than from drowning. The very first coats were nothing more than pieces of fabric that were coated several times with layers of (linseed) oil using a brush. After this the 'oilskins' were hung out to dry. When these had dried sufficiently the fishermen could wear them in the cold and wetness on the water. The fishermen spontaneously stayed dry and warm and soon the demand for these early Didriksons 'raincoats' increased rapidly.
